Always Good to be HOME!

Posted by Adele Khor

It's been almost a month since I left Melbourne. Haven't got the time to upload photos nor update my blog.

Ask me why?

Okie, let me tell you some story before I head off to bed. Coz it's 2.30AM now, and I better write something here before I don't have my own internet connection at home tomorrow. Don't ask me why, because it's a very, very, very long story. Actually it's short, arggh, let me continue~

I've been working day and night when I was in Melbourne. Only had 2 days off before the day I left. So imagine I had to pack ALL my stuff in my room into boxes. Hello? I've got only TWO days~ LOTS of WORK!
Didn't manage to sleep well and I was extremely tired. Yet excited about going home LOL

Well since I'm now back in Malaysia, internet is like crap to me. I actually don't have proper internet access. I've landed in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and finally now in Penang. I can say Singapore is the best among of all! My home pc broke down yesterday for no reason. Probably because of me? Then my laptop isn't compatible with the modem, so I couldn't access to internet too. So I tried stealing the WiFi from the next door hotel. Which I successfully did! Just for a while :(
My sister in law from KL was here during the weekend. So she dragged along her modem. That's why I'm up so late to utilise the internet before I have to fast going online.

Oh Life~~

Apart from that, life's a bliss at the moment.

Why?

Don't ask me why.

Photos will tell the stories~

Chevy, my 1 year 8 months old niece arrived KL on the same day as I did. No, not in that box of course!

Had a great time with my best buddy Sze Syeh at her condo @ Mont Kiara. We went for jacuzzi and sauna during midnight~ Fun!

This budak (kid), good to catch up and hangout~ Thanks for driving all the way eventhough we didn't really know the way.
~* Singapore **~'

Scenery from the balcony.
Feeling kinda at the top of the world. Er, almost~

Food that I've been craving for. Durians and chempedaks!
Now I wanna have goreng pisang and chokodok. It's almost 4AM, and I AM VERY HUNGRY.

Ruwei~! Food hunting with her around Singapore. Yay!
Not really the whole of Singapore, but in the city. Sunny, hot, VERY hot.

My delicious Fish ice cream. shioks~

Went to visit Chevy at granny's home after a long week at work.

Precious! Waiting patiently for her milk. She can really drink and eat. Very intelligent girl~
Loves!~

Serene, my beloved long lost friend, who added me on FB, and realized she's in SG!
And my life continues as I arrived Penang.
It's all about weddings! *jingle jingle bell~~*

Can you see that there's 12 guys against me myself at the stairs!
Cruelty. haha

Disted-Stamford College mates.

The sexy "lady". Very entertained by her that night.

Oh there's lots of beautiful flowers decorated everywhere! *melted*
And there's real rabbits, birds, fishes in nicely designed cages too. Unique wedding I would say.
Will rate it 85%, because when it comes to my wedding, it'll be 101%. LOL~ *slaps myself*

I'm finally free to go, and off to bed!
ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm~

A Day Break

Posted by Adele Khor

It has been a long, long, long weekdays for me. Working consecutively for 8 days without any day breaks in between. That's partly one of the reason I've got no chance to drop by to blog.

With my iPhone, I'm more active with Twitter ;)

But recently, there's heaps of moving work to be done, so I'm not as free to stand by the counter and keep myself warm near the heater. My hands and fingers got cut, back and spine pain, but somehow I manage to tolerate this minor pain. To me, it's a major suffering, but humans got to go through pain, don't we. We're an adult! lol!~

Today, my only chance to have one day break before I started working again. *yay!*
It was an enjoyable, relaxed yet exhausting one. Early in the morning, went over to my friend's house which is just few blocks away from home. Accompanied her to her science lab to submit some stuff. Interesting place to work at, though it's quite nerve breaking to see all the labs equipment. Just give me chills. Weird feeling. After checking out her lab, we headed to the station for our food plan!

It's a day out in the city. As usual, Food Hunting is my duty and I'm more than happy to introduce you some new, good stuff!

There's this new cupcake shop in Melbourne Central. The cupcakes are HUGE~

And pretty too!
It's not only important that the food must be delicious, but how it looks play a very BIG role of course. That's the way to gain business from the ladies~
Some might be cheapskate, but when it comes to something cute and worth it, we'll definitely fall for it! So weak we ladies~~

The freaking cute cupcake was yelling at me to stop by and pick him up! (evil cupcake fellow)
So I had to buy the mint choc cupcake.
The icing is nice! But I don't really fancy the muffin. Still, worth a try.
Go get yourself some pampering at this store! The guys will serve you whole heartedly LOL

Then me and my friend headed to the next cupcake shop! It was a cupcake craze that morning.
Can you believe it? My tummy was like.. "Common! More, please, MORE!!! Feed, Feed, Feed, Don't stop!!"

This is a mini cupcake shop. It was really packed. I can say only ladies will walk into this shop.
Cos I've been sitting there for half an hour, and I don't see a single man that walk in, okay!
I know they'd go for steak, sandwiches, burgers rather than...cupcakes...Duh!

There's different types of cupcakes there. Big and small.
Let me see how many I could remember.
There's Belgium Choc, Belgium Mudcake, Roselli, Cookies n Cream, Teddy Bear, Vanilla, Strawberry, Mint, Carrot, and loads more.. I'm don't have good memory, but I think since I can named it this far, not too bad huh? :D

~TADAAA!!~
This is what we had. Mini little cutie cupcakes....Again for me.
Had kids shake this time. And Xue Fang's coffee.. I an anti-coffee person :p Bluerrkss~!
Anyway the shake is so filling! And doesn't look like any kids size to me.
Then, we realized we had too much sweet stuff for breakfast.
So we headed straight for some proper lunch. To get some balance in our meals. LOL

I don't have to introduce one more time where's this place.
Was quite disappointed that the Shepherd's pie are all gone.
So had to try their Bolognaise, which is not too bad afterall!! Yay!

Let me have the priviledge to introduce this girl, Xue Fang.
The crazy food lover like me, crazy careless lab person, beer lover, and funny and entertaining person to hang out with, a friend who will send gift/food right in front of your door step!
Oh, and also she's actually my quite-near-next-door neaighbour. LOL Too bad she's leaving for Malaysia in 15 days, then UK for studies :S

This is a no name cafe that I spotted while wandering around.
Looks cool heh?
Very unattractive from the outside, but it's so classy inside.
Will definitely try them out, one day, when I manage to get another day off.

Guess what, I was standing to a damn huge rubbish bin while taking this photo. Surprisingly it's not smelly at all. Unlike the rich rubbish smell you can get in Malaysia :D

After a good lunch, our tummy was obedient enough to keep quiet and still.
So, Xue Fang had the urge or I should say a "want", since she didn't manage to buy it anyway in the end. She was desperately looking for a polaroid camera!
When I was in Singapore, a friend of mine had this cool polaroid camera! Unlike the ones are sold here, so boring and big okay. And the films are boring simple ones. How to live with something so unattractive lar?
Those in Singapore, you can have any cute Winnie the Pooh, Mickey Mouse or any Disney characters, okay.

Conclusion, we walked in and out almost all the camera shops in town, but mission failed.
And I was in love with a particular camera!!! Who wana get me a Canon camera!? Any volunteer? hahaha
I wanna take good and pretty pictures for you to see!
A picture paints a thousand word, so beautiful photos here says a lot.
And I can type less too :p

Well, this is one of the main attention of the day.
The new Lindt Cafe that has finally arrived in Melbourne!
And it's next to a very expensive jewellery shop in Collins St. I wish I could sip my tea while staring at the ever sparkling jewels~
That one day would arrive around my neck and finger -___- OMG such a dreamer~
I wasn't too impressed by their food when I was in Sydney the last time. So this time, I tried something different.

Everything was looking good.

But the first thing that caught my eyes are the macarons!!!
Which I have been craving for months ago! Had the one at St Kilda. Was good enough though it was a bit hard. But couldn't complain because I can't spot any near my suburb!

Once I saw this on their display, my jaws were about to drop and eyes were about to pop out! LOL Happie, happie, is the day today! That took away all my pain and worries~
Would be better if it was served with diamonds hahaha~

Lemon Tang
Weidest thing I've ever tasted. Feels like drinking grass with some peppermint in it.
But Xue Fang loves it. We decided on drinking tea because it was a whole day of chocolate for us!

What we had~ yums yums!!!
That's the Peach and Champagne macarons in my hands LOL
Liquor is always good with dessert Lolz~!

Lindt's Dark Chocolate Ice Cream~
Very rich, very nice. Satisfied = Happy!

Dear Lindt,
Please sponsor me a baskel full of macarons for my daily supply.
I desperately need my dose of sugar everyday!
Pweeetiee pleeeeeaseeee? =)
I can't go to bed now because your dear macarons have been hunting me 24/7 everywhere I go!
But I'm still in love.

Really want to go back there again, but I think the things there are over-rated.
Still, its fantabulous and excellent!
*thumbs up*

Our final pick up from our cupcake store ;)
But the cupcakes met with an accident while riding on the tram.
~AWWwwwwwW~~

Still, I love you dearly.

My beloved macarons~

Joan's 27th

Posted by Adele Khor

This year was sort of like a mini celebration with her sister, sis in law and a friend - all the way from Sabah, Malaysia.

DSC_0047

It was a Sunday, poor me had to workie~ So what they had to do was go to Springvale market for grocery shopping. And the birthday girl herself had to prepare soup and preparation for the steamboat at night. LOLOL

That's Joan's 27th Mini Home Birthday Celebration.

Nice to have steamboat when the weather out there is freezing cold. Soupy meal is awesome and all time fav~

DSC_0007

Chocolate chip cheesecake from the Cheesecake Shop.
The cake turned out to be plain. And if I were the birthday girl, I wouldn't be happy to see such a dull birthday cake.

All I did was chuck in the Winnie the Pooh & friends character on the cake. With candles of course LOL And got the lady to make an icing at the top.

Happy 27th!

Adele's Randomness

Finally sitting and resting at home till my next work shift on Thursday.
So here am I, very relaxed lying on my sofa with a glass of juice and of course here to update!

Been wandering around the city and had few road trips with my housemate's family who're here for holidays. Had great food at home and outside too. Still, I'd prefer home cooked food sometimes. And my housemate's mum cook delicious food at home to make sure we don't starve.

IMG_7175

In my mini kitchen. The girls mucking around while the two aunties busy preparing dinner for the hungry children.

IMG_7179

Please eat your vege! LOL Your dose of anti cancer.

I dislike vegetables to the maximum. I can tell you I hate it so much that I could possibly throw it back at you if you force me. haha
But now, I'm pleading you to feed me vege oh pleaseee..

Veges are good for you. I've learnt my lesson. So it's best if you eat your vege now, you vege-haters before you learn your most expensive lesson. Unless you're asking for it ;)
It's important to take all sorts of veges, learn not to pick your food too. I read from some article that nowadays people has higher chance of getting cancer because they're those who're picky with their food! I believe it's quite true! Just eat whatever that's served on your plate boys and girls.

Well, I'll stop from being such a nanny.

More photos to share. I'd probably mentioned about 2 months ago about my trip to Great Ocean Road. So here's my second trip this time with different people.

IMG_7257

Here we are, on our way to see the 12 rocks. Or maybe 7 or 8 smaller rocks now.
This time, we took our own sweet time enjoying the scenery. Manage to stop along the way for some quick photo snapping too.

IMG_7260

IMG_7261

This was our toilet break stop. Naah, we didn't do our business behind the beautiful beach.
We just enjoyed watching 2 young man surfing ;)

IMG_7275

And had some cakes at this peaceful garden here, absorbing as much heat from the sun as we could! We're all wrapped up as you can see because Melbourne has a very windy weather! Still disliking the way it is :p

DSC_1022

I've got 2 photographers. One in the front, and spot the other photographer right behind us.
Feels like a star. Weee~~

IMG_7296

It's so cool to own a DSLR. And this is what you get - a good quality photo from a good quality camera. Thanks to Van and Eve for their pictures, which I've secretly stolen to upload LOL

Just random chips because the pizzas were all in our hungry tummies.

IMG_7314

And here it is, to witness the beautiful sunset at Great Ocean Road this time.
Awww~ a nice romantic place to propose.

BUT,
it's too windy and a very long drive.

BUT,
long drive is fun LOL

IMG_7333

Us, the girls~

IMG_7348

Goodbye, love~

Just random at Westfield Doncaster while waiting for the aunties at the massage parlour.

IMG_7379

And this beautiful thing...
Ok ok, I don't wanna blog about this anymore.

IMG_7453

But ain't he cute? ;p
